wedding crashers won't play movie, anyone else?

Okay.

I thought I had a defective disk and got the new disk in yesterday on Wedding Crashers Uncorked version.

I can play previews and some of the other stuff, but nothing related to the movie itself.

When I hit "play" the * goes off and must loop back and the * comes back to the "play" line.

I tried to go by chapters, but it won't play those either.

I have a panny rp-56, and I've never had this happen before!

I relooked at my "limits" page, and it is fully open, play all.

Has anyone else come across not being able to play WC Uncorked? What could the problemo be?

I'll stick it in the xbox tonight and see if I can actually watch it! HELP?????????!!!!

FYI, I played my own copy in a DVD-ROM drive, no problem at all.

Put both discs in my xbox, and they played fine. How weird, as my panny has never failed to play anything else ever.

I just got my copy of Wedding Crashers today and I'm having the same issues. It will load the main menu but continuously loops when I select Play Movie.

I found a workaround which seems to work for my Panasonic DVD-F87 5 Disc Changer. I placed the disc in complete STOP mode and then selected 1 on the remote. The movie starts from 0:00:00, studio logos and all.

I'm able to access the Special Features section with no problems so far and my remote has a direct access button for selecting audio commentaries.

XBOX..... did you try it in your xbox??

I went and downloaded new firmware for the panasonic Rp56 (the firmware had loads of models it will upgrade) and it still did the same thing. I fooled around a bit, then hit the play again and it looked like it "froze", then all of a sudden it started playing the movie, but not from the beginning...

WEIRD. I'll try your "trick" this evening. Thanks.

I just watched mine on Friday & luckily I didn't have any problems. That sucks that so many people can't watch it though.

Update: Now I'm getting a NO PLAY DISC read-out on the LED. If I open the tray and let it load again, I am sometimes able to get it to load the menu, but not always on the 1st try.

I haven't played it in my Xbox since the DVD drive has been acting up for months now with game freezes and not recognizing some games/DVDs. I'll try it later.
