Anyone a fan of Duncan Sheik?

Just picked up his new CD (released yesterday) called White Limousine and it's great to see that he's stayed consistent musically.

I still think that Phantom Moon is his best, but Limousine delivers yet another moody, ethereal set of tracks written by a VERY underrated singer/songwriter.

I'm spinning it for the second time right now and can say that it'll definetly stay in my player for some time.

I loved his first album! Lots of great songs. After that, his second album to me was a letdown, and I haven't ever gotten around to picking up anything more. One day...

If you loved his first album, do yourself a favor and pick up Phantom moon.

I'll admit myself that as a Sheik fan Humming was a bit off course from the rest of his stuff. It's the only one of his albums that's mostly up tempo and less emotional. I personally like it when he's got that ethereal acoustic sound.

Daylight is also an excellent album. Very reminiscent of his first CD.

I scanned the new album, and may yet pick it up - but sounded fairly different from his earlier work. The title track was the one that grabbed me the most.

I like Humming. Particularly, "Bite Your Tongue", which is one of his best songs.

Phantom Moon is good, as well, considering it's essentailly a Nick Drake tribute - and you can never go wrong with anything Nick Drake related.

Still think his debut is his best, though.

I've also got the very rare promo only ep - At The Resevoir - on which he does a fantastic cover of Radiohead's "Fake Plastic Trees". Well worth having if you can still track down a copy.

I have his debut and really like it. He's one of those 90's artists whom I've been away from for quite some time. Throw Juliana Hatfield in there as well.

I like listening to the song "I'm on a High" when I'm looking at a slideshow of pictures of the past.
