Yellowcard - Lights & Sounds (January 24, 2006)

Yellowcard

Lights & Sounds

It's been leaked around the net. I've given it a few listens and it's not bad, but no one song is grabbing me like the last CD did. I'll give it a fair shot.

Anyone else excited?

I'm looking forward to checking it out. I've been hearing pretty good things about it so far.

I saw them on the Warped Tour in '04. They were on main stage. Sounded good. I have the last album...will likely get this one.

I have the last album. Dont like it that much but a few songs were good. That new video reminds me of Coldplays's "Speed of Sound" video. I might check this one out.

Ocean Avenue was the only Yellowcard album I really liked. I got a copy of the leaked album and the new one has 3-4 good songs, sounds very little like Ocean Avenue. Best song is Lights and Sounds by far. I would definitely recommend you listen to it, before buying it. I would give it a 6 out of 10.

BTW- I heard it has the Copy Right Protection on the CD like the last Foo Fighters and 30 Seconds To Mars CDs.

I'm just hearing it now and am liking what I hear, but it sounds more like an album that will need to grow on you...the review in AP gave it 5 out of 5 and pretty much called it a masterpiece...so far not reaching the "heights" of Ocean Avenue, but I'm willing to bet after further listens it will be better...only time will tell I guess.
