for me, lost defenatly uses the 5.1 channels the best, just from watching last nights episode.
and as to what looks the best, arrested development (i believe that is even shot in hd, and not on film) one tree hill, lost, and how i met your mother.

I got a kick out of that huge pimple on Kobe's forehead.

CSI Miami looks the best

Lost is probably the best sounding.

An odd pick, but I'd have to second this.

as far as just looking great in HD CSI Miami is really hard to beat.. Show is just so bright with color all over the place that it really looks perfect in HD.

The Tonight show is another show that really looks great in HD mostly due to the close up of the stars and bright lights. It's a good example of something easy to jump back and forth from normal analog to HD to show someone how different HD looks, even with just a person sitting there talking.

Most of the sitcoms all look like live stage acts in many cases in HD due again to the bright lights. Problem is that they are sitcoms so not really that great content wise in most cases but it really does seem like you are just sitting a few feet away watching them film.. Sort of freaky really.

Stupid local ABC affiliate is the only HD OTA that doesn't broadcast in 5.1.

Said it before, and I'll say it again: CSI Miami.

I don't care for the show, but I will check out a few episodes each season to see it in HD.

Most anything on HDNet looks great to me, and in addition I have to say Lost and any football, especially night games.

Mmmmm havent seen 24 in HD yet, looking forward to it.

Actually Arrested Development looks good, too. After I got my HD Set I was surprised it A) was in HD and B) it looked good.

Wish Scrubs was in HD, but I know thats been explained elsewhere.

But, yeah, the sports look good and so does Leterman and Conan.

I caught the Austin City Limits with Coldplay on PBS and it looked and sounded great.

Thumbs up PBS

Considering They Call Me Earl adds sight gags to their HD broadcasts, I'd have to go with that.

Otherwise, NFL looks great.

Would LOVE to get Battlestar Galactica in HD.

Do they air

Italy by air or Germany by air in HD? I have never caught these shows since switching to cable, and the OTA signal sucked.

I second that. I have to say the best HD show I ever watched was a tennis match on INHD about 6 months ago. It was a night match and with the stadium lights it looked stunning.

Hmm, wonder if Globe Trekker is in HD. I'll have to see next time.
