Ok ep...not nearly as funny as most have been. Barney did not have many good lines even. Kind of disappointed for a holiday ep, coulda done better.

Barney after his cd stolen was funny, not much other than that.

I thought it was funny when Lily slapped Barney when he was squeezing his way through the moonroof and his face was all in her bosom.

I was a little disappointed near the end. It made it seem as though he was finally by some miracle going to meet the wife. At this point I find it a little redundant for them to even be having Ted swoon over Robin anymore. Ok episode, certainly not the best. The ending sort of did feel as though he was going to meet the wife in the following year.

I did find it hilarious how Future Ted explained to his kids how Moby was a popular recording artist in his time (for some reason).

Pensive Barney.

But yeah, just kind of a meh episode. The concept sounds good, but I think the execution was a little uneven.

Make that, his face was deliberately buried in her bosom.

Hence why I believe this device will probably not be perpetuated. It is really quite lame as the show progresses. I was watching this episode thinking "Well, I know they don't end up together because we were told Robin isn't their mother in the pilot".

I thought this ep was pretty good. For some reason, I LOVED the sequence when Robin is all depressed and Barney kept starting the CD. The second time he does it, it looked like he almost broke character and cracked up. Too funny.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say Ted ends up with Robin and the producers have some oh-so-clever way to explain the "Aunt Robin" line.

I think it will get old pretty fast if they continue Ted's "love" for Robin past this season.

I liked the use of "You Give Love a Bad Name" for Barney's rise song.

i have been thinking the same thing for a long time. if they don't bring in any new major characters in season 2, i think that would confirm it.

My favorite part was when Barney told his date she needed a breath mint.

Maybe this is a stupid question, but was "Eric" played by the real Moby?

No, he wasn't Moby. He was played by J.P. Manoux.

simple, the woman we know as Robin isn't really named Robin, and the woman later known to the kids as Aunt Robin hasn't been seen yet by us

I see where you are all coming from, but at the same time, even knowing she isn't the one, I don't really have a problem with them having Ted pine for her. It's actually semi realistic. How many of you pined for someone for a while and it just never worked out? Also, notice how his pining sabotaged his chances. It does provide an element of realism to the show. Without it, the show almost becomes a "bad date of the week" concept.

Oh, yeah, and Robin is HAWT!!

I checked long ago, believe me. I was merely noting how I think she looks very much like a possible Robin production.
