Green Day Bullet in a Bible, anyone have this yet?

I was wondering morely how the dvd concert is presented. Is it the full concert and the docuemtary as an extra, or is the doc intergated into the show in between songs (which i hate personally)
Here's the track listing
Track Listings
1. American Idiot
2. Jesus of Suburbia
3. Holiday
4. Are We The Waiting
5. St. Jimmy
6. Longview
7. Hitchin' A Ride
8. Brain Stew
9. Jaded
10. Knowledge
11. Basket Case
12. She
13. King For A Day
14. Shout
15. Wake Me Up When September Ends
16. Minority
17. Maria
18. Boulevard of Broken Dreams
19. We Are the Champions
20. Good Riddence

when i saw them at merriweather this year, this was the exact play list, and the show was an hour and 58 minutes on the nose. I hope the dvd doesn't cut out the between song banter between the band and the audeince.

I would like to know what the contents of the CD are. Is it the whole show? Parts of the show? Websites are offering very little information.

They were showing a thirty minute special for this on MTV Hits this weekend and at least in that the documentary was integrated. The CD is supposed to have the same setlist as the dvd.

I am DEFINITELY picking this up. The only unfortunate thing is that the list of 20 songs in the first post is incorrect. From various websites, I found out that the CD will only have 14 tracks, not 20.

It may be incorrect for the CD, but it is correct for the DVD.

That's awesome. So they were able to fit all of those songs in addition to all of the behind the scenes stuff. I can't wait to pick it up tomorrow.

FYI:

Cheapest places this week are Target and Best Buy. Both will have it for $14.99.

Yeah, I believe MTV2 got a bonus edition and got to show 1 whole hour. Isn't MTV2 an extra cable pay channel? That could be why. Regular MTV only got a half hour.

I didn't realize they stopped playing Welcome To Paradise, my favorite song. I probably would have picked up this DVD if it was on there. As it is, sorry Green Day, you aren't getting my money.

anyone run across this at amazon? Seems that only the Playstation DVD version is available. And is there amaray-style packaging or just the CD jewel case?

From the allmusic.com review:

The DVD intercuts interview footage with individual members of the trio between the songs on the set, while the CD provides an hourlong distillation of the show.
I agree with the poster up above - I much prefer uncut performances than ones with interview segments cut in-between songs. It messes up the flow. Here's hoping there's a "concert only" view included.

Ugh....why must almost all concert DVD's have this interview cut in b.s.? We don't buy these things for the interviews. Even if we want to see them, not in the middle of the show. Tack them on as an extra. I like to watch music DVD's a lot more than one time. And I don't want to have to sit through the interviews every time.

Guess I won't be picking this one up.

I'm with you, there is no way I buy a DVD that is done like that. I had to pass on the David Byrne DVD because of that. It really makes no sense and I can't imagine what goes throught someones head that would make them OK this.

I'd love to pick this up, but like the rest of you, won't buy it if the interviews are cut in w/the performance. Can anybody comment on this for us yet?

Never mind. Here's a quote from an Amazon user review:

Then we have the absolutely horrible DVD, with the supposed LIVE concert, edited so that an interview appears after each song, making the performance not continuous, which kills the energy and takes away from the feeling you get when you are really seeing Green Day live and with 6 songs missing as well, instead of being UNCUT like it should have been since a DVD has that much storage capacity, the CD being cut down is understandable since it can only hold 80 minutes, but this is s--t, the whole talking interview stuff could have been put in the menu as "Interview" or something similar.

I just saved $14.99. Terrible decision to assemble a concert DVD this way, IMO.

Just got it. I can confirm. There are 14 tracks. Same track list on both the CD and on the DVD. Missing 6 tracks including We Are The Champions.

The DVD does have interviews after each song. At the very least, each song starts at a new chapter point so you can just hit skip to bypass the interviews.

I suppose it is best to look at this release as a CD release with an extra DVD performance. Either way, it does suck that the DVD doesn't at least contain the full performance.

Definitely passing on this with the interviews cut in and 6 songs missing.

Lame.

I bought it, but now I will have to agree that "officially" Green Day didn't release a concert dvd today. That's how I will have to look at it. It's a cd with some concert footage on another disc...like the other poster mentioned. I'll keep this with my STP cd that has all their videos and some live stuff.

This is VERY disappointing and beyond belief. I just don't get how anyone could be so stupid as to get the idea that this is what Green Day fans would want.

I could have been happy even with the interviews if they had all 20 songs, but now this is really a very lame effort all around.

I will say this, the sound quality of the CD is really good. What is on the disc is excellent.

Got it yesterday but didn't know it wasn't the whole show on DVD til' I got it home. Annoying. This new trend of DVD + CD is foolish too. If I want a concert DVD just give me the concert DVD. I don't need to pay extra for an edited down to 80 min. CD that I don't want. This is disappointing and the editing in of the doc. between songs REALLY destroys the flow of the concert IMHO. Looks great too so it's more of a shame.
