Christina Aguilera to Britney Spears : "You are Over"

Xtina Aguilera, who has kept the world and herself waiting for her next album which she claims will be about 'the real me' (sigh) has now turned her focus on fellow starlet Britney Spears, claiming Britney is over. A Report :

Aguilera: Spears' career is doomed

24/08/2005 - 14:21:00

Christina Aguilera has warned pop rival Britney Spears not to expect a comeback after her baby is born - because she's "let herself go" too much to reclaim her sex symbol status.

The Dirrty singer is horrified by the deterioration in Spears' appearance since she announced she's expecting her husband Kevin Federline's child earlier this year.

And Aguilera hopes the Toxic star will be content with motherhood, because she doubts she'll ever be a pop star again.

She says: "She's let herself go. I can't see a comeback on the cards."

----------------------------------------------------------------------

My own take on this is that ever since Aguilera decided to go all Pam Anderson and leave very little to our imagination, the quality of her music has been slipping. Has anyone even heard her tragic song with Nelly on his new album. Disgusting. Britney on the other hand is being true to herself and mother nature by settling down and raising a family. Now you tell me which is more moral. Thanks.

I'm sure this will be locked eventually, since EVERY thread that mentions Britney is eventually locked.

Anyways, Xtina (and many other celebs) like to put Britney down because they only WISH they were getting as much attention as she is/was. Even when some artists have albums coming out, they still can't get as much publicity as Britney does when she goes to get coffee, or look at baby clothes. Britney has the "it" factor, and Xtina has always wished she had it.

I think Christina is the Debbie Gibson to Britneys' Tiffany. I mean, Tiffany was so IN. She dated a New Kid, had No. 1 singles and albums and didnt have half the talent Debbie did. Xtina is the same. She needs to stop being so slutty though as she is so much more than that. Britney manages to be slutty too but somehow has managed to avoid parading around like a whore a la 'Dirrty' which just reeked of desperation. I watched it, of course.

I don't care for either gals music but Christina clearly has the better voice. If she plays it right, she can have a long career. Not sure why she thinks she needs to slut it up. Britney does it to hide her lack of real talent. Christina does not need to do that.

I hope you're not looking for anyone to say that's an improvement.

Here's the thing guys, these careers of these two are over.

Christina Aguilera is essentially Mariah Carey. She'll fare decently and continue to sell music, but not really make any big splashes.

Brittany Spears is the new Whitney Houston; hell she already has a deadbeast husband who likes to think he can sing! She will probably never put out another album, or at the most 2 more. She and Kevin will live off the residuals of her old songs.
