Does anyone have a complete list of all the movies that loosely make up the "Yojimbo" series. I only know of Yojimbo, Sanjuro and Zatoichi meets Yojimbo films. Thanks

Zatoichi meats Yojimbo?

Mifune also played a yojimbo character in Machibuse from the same year as Zatoichi meets Yojimbo. That also paired him with Katsu from the Zatoichi series, but he was not playing the Ichi character.

I haven't seen it, but Incident at Blood Pass has this description at Deep Discount DVD:

There's also been at least three Yojimbo remakes that I know of:

Fistful of Dollars (1964): Spaghetti western starring Clint Eastwood.

The Warrior and the Sorceress (1984): Sword and sorcery starring David Carradine.

Last Man Standing (1996): Prohibition-era action film starring Bruce Willis.

Django could also be added to that mix.

Hadn't heard of the Warrior and the Sorceress. I've always wanted to screen the others as a mini-festival.
