What's the name of the movie?
All I can remember is that there was a child, and a family of flying saucers. Little baby saucers flying around (seriously). It had a more sappy feeling than a sci-fi feeling. And at the end this little building remains next to all the new high-rises.

Any one of us could have saved her a trip to the video store:

Spoiler:

1. Old people nearly evicted from crappy building by crazy Latino and buddies
1a. Loser painter intrigued by pregnant girl
2. Flying saucer aliens befriend old people, restore building
2a. Pregnant girl intrigued by loser painter
3. Aliens have babies, parent alien smacked by crazy Latino
4. Crazy ex-boxer punches crazy Latino, utters title of movie, fixes smacked alien
5. Aliens leave, pissed
6. Building destroyed by new guy hired when crazy Latino failed
7. Aliens come back, fix building good as new
7a. Painter and prego find love
8. City puts new buildings around old building, the end
