ODB's first posthumous album is coming out pretty soon. Here's the tracklisting:

1. "Lift Yah Skirt" (featuring Missy Elliott)
2. "Pop Shots" (featuring Lil' Fame)
3. "Operator" (featuring Clipse and Pharrell)
4. "Back in the Air" (featuring Ghostface)
5. "Work for Me" (featuring Young Chris)
6. "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" (featuring Macy Gray)
7. "Stomp" (featuring RZA)
8. "How Ya Feelin"
9. "Intoxicated" (featuring Raekwon, Method Man & Macy Gray)
10. "Dirty & Grimey" (featuring N.O.R.E.)
11. "Danger Zone" (featuring Joe Budden)
12. "Skrilla" (featuring RZA)
13. "Don't Hurt Me Dirty"

I wish some of the tracks were featuring other artists.

Well he is dead. Its hard to have lots of new material when you're six feet deep.

Tupac put out quality albums for years after he died before the inevitable "duets" album. I guess ODB wasn't as prolific.

ODB really didn't have that much material when he was alive.

I miss the Wu.
I mean pre-Wu-Tang Forever Wu.
When they were bringing something interesting to the table.

I still think the main reason 2pac had so much posthumous material is because he was probably going to be imprisoned for years. I bet they purposely recorded a lot of stuff at once so he could keep releasing albums while in jail.

Anyone know if this new ODB material is stuff he specifically recorded for a new album? Or is it just based on miscellaneous recordings they had lying around, put together to make an album?

Technically he had a cd out earlier this year...
:Osirus: the official mixtape.

Same deal, lots of guest appearances and a pretty much thrown together CD.
Not a bad cd overall, butdoes not compare to RTT36C or NP.

I cant wait for this new one.
Lots of guests but I'll take it over no ODB at all.

RIP

PS. I wish someone would takebits Of Eazy-E's leftover material and make a new NWA Album with the rest of the crew.

Another note: I think this is new material recorded for a new album. Wasn't he signed to Rockafella?

I'm pretty sure this was an actual album, not just some random stuff thrown together. He signed with a new label and I think Damon Dash was producing this.

I'm sure it will suck. Enter the 36 Chambers -> Return to the 36 Chambers -> Only Built 4 Cuban Linx -> Liquid Swords -> Iron Man. You can't beat that right there.

delayed?

I went to Target this morning to pick it up, and they had a sign up stating that this album wasn't coming out today, and that there was no new release date provided. I checked Amazon, and they list the album as having no release date. Searches on Best Buy and Circuit City came up empty - the album isn't even listed on their sites at all. Has anyone actually seen this in stores? Anyone know why it wasn't released today? I searched around but couldn't find any information.

Really? I thought Forever was excellent. All the missteps occured after forever. Hell, even The W had a couple of OK tracks.

It wasn'tat my target either, although Yahoo music and Itunes has partial albums listed. i'm off to best buy to see if it is there. Not bad what i have heard so far.

For Itunes you need to search "ODB" instead of "Ol DirtyBastard"

Yeah, the majority of Wu Tang Forever is pretty good, but they could have trimmed the fat off of it and released it as one cd and I think it would have been much better.
