Any Love For Nicolas Cages' ''Family Man''?

As above... seems to be a lot of hatred on IMDB, but I love it!

I'm a big fan. Great performances all around, and the ending is pretty brave for the genre.

I too am a fan of the movie. I saw it during its theatrical run and now own the DVD and have viewed it a time or two. I only wish Don Cheadle's character was explained.

Count me as pleasantly surprised. I received it as a gift. Decent little flick. Doesn't it take place at Christmas time though? And we are discussing in July... to beat the heat?

I'm not a big fan of Cage in general. I think National Treasure was the only movie I could stand him in. I liked the end of Matchstick men though.

Tea Leoni in a non-annoying role pretty much looking like MILF!

Liked it for what it was. I bought it on one of those 3 for $20 used deals cuz it had DTS. That, and the Ferrari. (Doesn't take much to justify a purchase for me.)

I'm really pleased there are some others out there that dug this movie! I really liked Jeremy Piven's character in this movie too... that man is a god.

Can't help but watch him and think 'let's hug it out bitch' these days, though

Agreed! One of my fav roles of his is John Cusack's sidekick in Serendipity.

Good flick that I always watch during the Christmas season. Also agree with statements about Piven. Those are his roles and he owns them. Grosse Point Blank was the same kind of character as well. "10 YEARS, MAN!"

Piven is the man. I wish he got more roles. For me he will always be Droz, though.

I enjoy rewatching this about once a year around Christmas time. Great performances and pretty good story too.

His career should be on an upswing now thanks to Entourage. Also check him out in There Goes the Neighborhood in a small but funny role. And of course, getting fucked up by Denis Leary in Judgment Night.

I forgot about that movie...I used to love it!

Piven was good in that. Little whiny asshole.

It's the kind of movie Brett Ratner needs to stick to making.

You nailed it. PCU is still his best work and a good flick.

I've always liked this movie too. Easy to watch and entertaining. Great characters imo. I get the same feeling watching this as I do watching groundhog day, whatever that means.

Ditto.

She looks like a drowned rat with blonde hair and her voice is sooooo annoying.

Poor David.

This is a fantastic movie about possibilities. It's moving and encouraging and very few movies get to me like this one does.

And Tea Leoni is awesome in it, which is not something I say too often but totally appropriate here.
