Does anyone exactly remember what Jack did towards the end of the episode to look like he was dead? I can't remember what he did or how he did it, but I remember Tony needing to ressucitate Jack.

Does anyone remember...did he take something that stopped his heard...what exactly happened? I feel like there was blood on his head to give the impression he was shot in the face...?

Thanks Super...so did we see him actually take the drug...or was it foreshadowed? I don't remember what happened in between the guy coming to kill him and Jack lying on the floor...

Jack asked Tony for his help when they were both in the locker room and then the next scene had an alarm being sounded while the other characters were in a conference room. Jack was never shown taking the drug.

Actually, in a scene that was deleted for time constraints, Jack and Tony, in desperation seek out a local Friar who offers Jack a vial
"Take thou this vial, being then in CTU Headquarters,
And this distilling liquor drink thou off;
When presently through all thy veins shall run
A cold and drowsy humour, for no pulse

this scene imo would have ruined the suspence of the end, since then we would have knowon about jack faking his death.

He did the same think Kirk did in "Amok Time".

So what did the US govt say to the Chinese who were demanding that Jack be turned over to them. Did they simply say that Jack was killed. If that's the case, then they should have just told them that in the first place without ordering the Secret Service to kill Jack. I mean after all this guy has done for the country for all 24x3=72 hrs, jeez, you'll think there's gonna give hime some slack, no?

Or could this still be a sub-plot in the next season?

I think that would be a pretty good bet.
