So who has played the best Batman so far?
So now that Batman Begins has been released, i thought it would be interesting to know people's thoughts on who has played the best batman to this day. From Lewis Wilson to Christian Bale, what do you guys think?

If you're including Kevin Conroy, then you should also include Olan Soule who played Batman in the Superfriends cartoon.
I still say Michael Keaton, but Christian Bale is very very close.

Keaton all the way.
But what about Alan Napier. The 60's Batman's Alfred. He put the suit on once to fool Commisioner Gordon.

I believed that Keatons Batman was screwed up. Even his Bruce Wayne was a good version of a rich, smart guy who is close to losing it.
Bale just seemed like a vengeful kid with a ton of dough. His billionaire playboy Bruce Wayne was too over the top to be believeable.
Kilmer.. left no impression at all.
Clooney had the perfect Bruce Wayne, missed the boat as Batman, and was given a crap movie on top of it.
Adam West played a good cartoon batman and bruce wayne, and probably the closest to the original characters. but that was then, this is now.
Keaton wins.

I would go with Christian Bale as well, but I really think that Kevin Conroy has changed the way people play Batman and for the better. I really feel that there were instances in Batman Begins that Christian Bale was really going for that Kevin Conroy take on the character, like when he said, "PRAY TO ME!" I don't know if they had Kevin Conroy's Batman in mind for that, but it reminded me of him.
But as far as the biggest impression left...come on, Adam West all the way! And I think that he comes off as a pretty good guy in anything he does, and is good natured over all about the character he played as Batman. It might not be the Batman that fandom loves to remember, but it was great for the time, and he was a great actor.
I'd place Val Kilmer, George Clooney and Michael Keaton at the bottom of the list, in that order. Sorry, but I still can't buy "Mr. Mom" as Batman. Just can't do it.
For voice work, Kevin Conroy is the best voice for Batman in the animated universe. Lewis Wilson is a wanna be.

I voted for Val Kilmer. I would love to have seen what he could have done in the first two Burton films instead of Keaton (who never did a thing for me in ANY movie). And if not for the Robin subplot, Forever would have been a terrific film. It's still quite good IMO.
Christian Bale made a terrific showing as well. Looking forward to a few more with him.
edit: It didn't occur to me who Kevin Conroy was. I probably would have voted for him had I realized. Dude IS Batman.

I voted Conroy because he's a voiceover badass.
In the real world my choice would be Bale. I liked his "batvoice" and the way he approached being Batman. He brought back the "scary crazy asshole" Batman.
I never like Keaton, Kilmner was ok but he was blonde, Clooney was cool but Shooemaker fucked that up, and for Adam West...I'll never forgive the 60's show for making Batman into a stupid ass.
