Alias: Season Four -- October 25th

From TVShowsOnDVD.com:

"Within the past two weeks, we let you know that - despite TV Guide's mention of an "early in the month" release - we had gotten firm word that Alias - The Complete 4th Season would hit the streets in late October, probably the 25th. Now Buena Vista has confirmed that the October 25th release date is correct, with a $59.99 list price for the 6-DVD set. No other information is available just yet, but stay tuned!"

though I'd've rather had it release sooner, at least we finally have a release date now.

anyway, season 4 ruled and I can't wait to own it. the show totally redeemed itself after some of the crap that went down in s3. and the final episode had a very cool cliffhanger.

I really don't know if I will be getting this. I own 1-3 and I thought Season 4 was pretty lame up until the end. Overall much worse than Season 3, so I don't know. Maybe I'll get a used copy sometime.

Here's something that bothers me - my fiancee loves 24 (as do I) but I cannot get her into Alias. I have no idea why.

I'll definatly pick this up (it was much better than season three), but why isn't Buena Vista releasing it BEFORE season 5 starts?

It was better than Season 3 overall, but there were a number of stinker episodes. Radio controlled toy helicopter of doom, anyone?

It didn't sink to the low points of Season 3, but it was still a mediocre year overall. And was that toy helicopter episode the one with the Will Tippen clone(not literal clone, just a dude who was forced into a similar situation as Will)? Cuz if so, I kinda liked that episode.

Actually there was a clear plot line, but they didn't really get into until the middle of the season. The first half of season four was pretty forgettable for me (outside of the pilot and liberty village), but everything in the second half was a nice return to form.

I agree, I liked season 3 better too. I just felt season four had no direction for most of the season and I found myself entirely bored with it. I'll get season 4 set just because I have the others, but this show would have never hooked me if this was the only season I had seen.

Season 4 was rather weak when compared to past seasons. I think it had to do with a lot of things - but I think Mr. Abrams was entirely too focused on 'Lost' (which I don't blame him one bit for..)

There were a few redeeming episodes (perhaps 5 really good ones) and the cliffhanger was shocking...so rent it, if possible. And buy 24 Season Four instead.

I'll be picking this up, if nothing else because I missed about 5 episodes in the middle somewhere... The cover art is horrible though.
