Anyone catch Princes of Malibu?

I caught this last night and found it fairly amusing. However, there is absolutely no way this show can be considered reality TV. Everything is so conveniently set up, like when Brody and Brandon went out for 700 bucks of sushi and David Foster was conveniently on the phone cancelling the credit cards they were using. I think someone threw alot of money at David Foster's face to do a scripted show based on his real family. I respect David as a producer and songwriter, but he's making himself and his family look like jackasses on TV.

I saw it and did enjoy it but I must say it was a act. All of it looked setup to me but I did like it.

I remember this show when it was originally called Viva La Bam.

I thaught the show was pretty funny

For someone who is a brilliant music producer and multi millionaire David Foster is one angry middle aged white guy

I thaught the guy whos's staying over Spencer was pretty funny. He reminded me of Eddie Haskell in the old "Leave It To Beaver" series

"He's your orange juice Mr Foster" sucking up to the parents so he can smooch over longer

It was also funny when Chaka Khan rolled down her window and he said "Chaka Who"??

I'd be angry to if I had two worthless step-sons and their friends leeching off of me every second of the day. And to top that off my wife is plastic surgery junkie who wants to be the cool mom/parent who totally contradicts me every time I try to lay down some rules.

Either way - it was obviously staged, yet mildly amusing.

I can't believe David Foster agreed to do this. He acts like Angry Dad from that episode of the Simpsons.

From a talented music producer to an angry reality TV dad.

Exactly what I was thinking while watching it. Seemed like an extremely watered down version of Viva La Bam.

I haven't seen the show, but thought the part where he bricked up the bedroom doors was pretty funny. That looks like a good prank to do on my roomate before she moves out.

Of course it's staged. Why else would they follow them around the house with cameras to begin with?

Do you think FOX really said "Hey, let's have a show centerting on David Foster. You know, the guy who nobody has ever heard of." And then they just happen to stumble upon the fact that David wants his kids out of the house.

No, of course they said "Wouldn't it be great if we had a show where David Foster was going at it with his stepkids because they're so lazy!". <---okay, even that sounds awful...but obviously it's all staged.

Did anyone else notice that these kids found a job fairly quickly. They are the executive producers including the house guest. that being said I hate reality tv but this was mildy entertaining to me.

If everything was staged, the people on the show did an excellent job of making it seem real.

I've always thought that shows that are scripted, but are supposed to look live and spontaneous never accomplish that goal.

Exactly..why isn't Bruce Jenner footing the bill for these punks?

Like Viva La Bam...HA... I'll laugh when Brandon wakes up David with fireworks!

And another "kudos" for it being in HD. I can't believe how many shows still aren't!

Why is anyone footing any bill for them?? They are 21 and 23 years old, kick them out and say "we paid for you til now, good luck and get out!"

Also Bruce Jenners been married 3 times and has 10 kids, what money would he use to do that? What's he done other than winning the Gold medal almost 30 years ago, maybe some appearences, but he probably isnt very wealthy

True dat...and neither am I. They'd have to be normal guys, like my two sons! Oh the horror!

Agreed tho...no one should be footing ANY bill for them.

You may not of heard of him but you should certainly know the songs he's produced over the years. There are many hits in his repertoire

Yes, many (s)hits indeed.

Regardless of his songs...who thought he need his own show?

Apparently nobody...the show tanked in the ratings really horribly this past week. I doubt it'll make it through the summer.
