Fine, I'll start it...Average Joe: The Joe's Strike Back 7/5/05

Discuss...

Anna - cute, but not hot. I don't think I'd go all to pieces just talking to her. Some of these guys are just unbelievably bad. Nick and his magic act? The life coach was rude, but completely dead on. Talk about something ELSE!

I like Dante, but I can't believe he's still in the running. I think Josh is the one to beat. A short, but fairly decent looking guy who also is a cancer therapist. Also, he gives Anna her space and she obviously notices him. The fact that they show her slipping HIM the tongue in previews also is a good hint that she likes him.

The hunks are a bunch of asses. I hope it was just the producers telling them to trash the average joe's rooms and not because they decided they were going to just bully them around.

I'm willing to bet she's only kept Dante around as long at the producers' nudging. Kind of like that Carrot Top like dude from the last one.

The scenes of the jock dudes taking over the room reminded me of the scene from the beginning of Revenge of the Nerds, where the Alpha Betas take over the nerds' dorm after they burn down their frat house.

Those jock guys are jokes did you see that one guy who had both of his nipples pierced . I have a feeling that this will be the last average joe to air. I think the messiah joe who looked like jesus had a better makeover than the magician guy. I was suprised to see Larissa from Average Joe Hawaii in the first episode. She must need some publicity after being dumped by Gil because she dated Fabio.

Man, the whole Fabio thing was SO lame. I guess the guy couldn't even expect to compare to the greatest lover of all time.

I must admit, I watch this show because I get pleasure out of how completely dumb it is. The "good looking guys" are the most entertaining, because they completely embody the stereotype of the weight-lifting jock. I love it when they say stuff like, "Ha, I'm not gonna fail at this...because I've never failed at ANYTHING." And then they sound off, and you find out that half of them are personal trainers.

I can't believe how this is considered "reality" TV, when the guys are approaching California in the exact same model of car while driving in formations. And then pretending they're infiltrating the boat, only to, once they reach shore, remove their wetsuits to reveal tuxedos, kinda like...JAMES BOND!

Don't get me wrong, I watch the show everytime it's on, and am a SUPREME fan of David Daskal and the innovative way he introduces himself, but I do find it quite pathetic.

Thanks hahn. I knew people here were watching the show, but I wasn't gonna start the thread

I'm glad they threw the twist in of bringing back the rejects after they've been all primped and coached to make them competetive. Next week should be interesting with Dante annoying "the hunks". I agree that they gotta be telling her to keep him on, though he hasn't been nearly as weird around her as he's been in the house.

Too bad the bald biker looking guy had to leave. I thought he had a decent chance.

Anna is cute, but indeed, not the hottest. I thought the make over was a night/day difference.

I missed first episode but saw the 2nd one a couple of days ago. I like this show. It's mindless entertainment. I was laughing out loud when Anna asked the sea lion (or is it seal?) to turn down some of those guys. And then the sea lion went to each guy and yell at his face. Haha... How does the animal know which guy Anna want to go out with? It couldn't have understood when Anna whispered the name of the guy in his ear, right?

I agree Anna is pretty cute.

I have to disagree with the "cute but not hot" comments about Anna. I think she's very hot. But then again, I really appreciate the Rubenesque curves of a full bodied woman. Anna's a *real* woman and not one of those toothpicks with boobs that passes for hotness these days.

Of course my father doesn't remember who he talked to, but someone he knows knew the magician. The only thing he remembers is that everyone pretty much knew from the beginning who was going to win, and no he doesn't remember. Also if I remember correctly most of the show is filmed on a sound stage. I haven't talked to him since the last episode ran to see if he remembers or if he was told anything else.

I still like the show and this season looks pretty entertaining.

Anna would be cuter/hotter if she didn't recently have her bangs cut.

Anyone know if they're going to repeat this ep? I caught the first one, but missed this one, and now I want to at the hunks' big entrance!

For the ones who think she's hot, like I do.

I haven't seen the show, nor do I plan to, but I do know one of the guys on there.

Yes, he is probably everything you would expect by judging him from what I expect his performance is on this show. He is my friend's good friend. I've met him a few times (prior to the show), and he's the typical jock/player/guy-most-younger-guys-think-they-want-to-be-and-most-girls-claim-to-not-like.

I believe they advertised that it would be repeated on Bravo, but I don't know when, or if you missed that as well.

There's nothing wrong with cute. Anna seems more like the kind of girl I'd want a relationship with than the previous two (who were hot).

I thought the seal bit was funny too. I saw a walrus demonstration at a zoo about a year ago, and the trainer explained that they just use hand signals to give commands. There was probably a trainer behind them telling him where to stand and what to do.

If you don't catch a repeat, I wouldn't say you missed much. They waited until the absolute end of the episode before they showed up. They cut to the hunksevery ten minutes or so driving in formation in a bunch of red convertibles, and clips of talking trash.

When they finally got there, they just snuck up behind them and waited for someone to turn and look. They just stared each other down all in a line. It looked as if there was a director on the set telling them to stand on their mark and look at the guy across from them. No doubt they will show this in the recap before the next episode.

I can't believe how much I enjoy this show. It's so dumb and a lot of it is so fake, but the show still manages to have a lot of really good moments. I liked the guy she ended up picking but it seems kind of weird that she chose him after kicking him off like a week before. It also seems a little odd that the average Joe ended up winning in a season where the other guy actually seemed likable. I seem to remember really disliking the previous 2 "winners". Of course she didn't really pick either of them since she went with the friend line. I'm surprised she was so worried about Rocky being faithful considering he passed the test they setup at the bar.

Most boring Average Joe ever. I didn't even realized I missed one until I noticed there were only two contestants. I was like, wait, didn't she kick that guy off??

At least she was honest and said "I'm not making any promises" but was willing to give Nathan a chance

The closing credits were pretty funny too!

PS Tahiti looked amazing!!

After being force fed these series' by the wife, I will say that the first two seasons were more interesting, but I did like the girl much more this last season. But the entire thing, especially the back-to-back final two episodes had a very rushed "let's just get this over with" feel to them.

Q: What did I learn from Average Joe: The Joe's strike back?
A: I must go to Tahiti at the first available opportunity.

I'm glad the girl finally picked a Joe. Can't wait for next season. Will another Joe win after a makeover? Or can the hot girl pick a Joe without any makeover?

Yep, it seemed like it was the last Average Joe. Of course that could be a swerve so when they get the next group of suckers they won't realize they are on Average Joe until the hunk twist. The people will just think it's some other show.

Will we see an "Average Jane" spin-off?
