Tales From The Crypt: Season Two -- Oct. 25th

"Warner has today announced the second season of Tales from the Crypt which includes all eighteen uncut episodes. Each will be presented in 1.33:1 full frame, along with English 2.0 Stereo Surround tracks. As far as we know, the only extra material will be a documentary. You'll be able to own this one from the 25th October this year, with the set retailing at around $39.98."

This is great, probably about $30 in stores. I don't really care that the extras are minimal on this set, I'll buy it anyway. I hope they are all released rather quickly.

AWESOME!!! My S1 DDD preorder shipped earlier today, now I find out S2 is going to be released right before Halloween. I'm going to have a TFTC marathon on Halloween.

Good news! I was hoping it wouldn't be a case of releasing the first season then waiting a year or so for the next, if at all.

It may NOT be three month intervals. It just may be that way because of the fact that season 1 didn't have too many episodes on it.

Or because they wanted to get Season Two out in time for Halloween.

I just bought season 1 today (very happy with the set, although a crypt keeper commentary would have been awesome), and all I can say is bring on season 2 (that would make an awesome halloween party, especially if im stuck in the dorms)

(reposting from the thread that got closed)

Was anyone else disappointed with the features? The 50 minute doc was decent, but it didn't focus on the tv show as much as I had hoped. Plus they made no mention at all of the 1970s movies. Then there was the "history of season 1", which was just retarded. What was the deal with using old footage of the cryptkeeper and trying to match the words up to it? Pretty lame. And with the new introduction, they didn't even show the cryptkeeper's face. Maybe they lost the cryptkeeper puppet or something.

But I can't complain. It's great to finally have this show on DVD. I only went through half the episodes. I need to try and savor it a little more. It will be a long wait till October.

I know it is stupid, but my only real complaint is that I wish they would have put the titles on each episode as opposed to just on the disc opening. I knew it was like that going in, but I still like each episode being complete with the opening.

Anyone know what the deal is with this:

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...v=glance&s=dvd

Is it just a 2-pack, or does it have both seasons packaged together in one box?

Yeah, there were 7 in total. I don't know if I really want the last 2, though. The quality really dropped off in the last few seasons.

Were both the last two season shot/set in the UK? Or was it just the last season?
