In my opinion, Stripes, just for the effort of a) restoring that missing reel and presenting some good deleted footage, b) having both the extended and theatrical cuts, c) a good commentary track, d) a decent documentary, even including a brief bit with Bill Murray. As for something like Jaws, they should have done this version five years ago...same with American Psycho...the theatrical releases were weak...Insurrection was a lesser Trek film. Casino and Sling Blade are a close second, though.

From: Right now, my location is DVDTalk, but then again, you should already know that, shouldn't you?
In a way, it kills me to vote for JAWS, rather than SLING BLADE, especially since JAWS a) is missing all trailers (unconscionable!) and b) is built around a video transfer 5 years old, but really, the video looked good then, it looks good now and if the trailers had been added, this would be just as comprehensive set for any given film that one could reasonably ask for, so that's where my vote went. SLING BLADE does have a new, thankfully anamorphic, transfer but is also missing trailers (unconscionable 2: the return of unconscionable!) as well as the original short film that led to the full-length film; additionally, the extras tend to be too congratulatory for Billy Bob and don't address the film proper enough. Having said all this, SLING BLADE runs a very close second place...

Reno 911! Complete Second Season.
No Contest as far as I'm concerned (yes, I own the new Jaws ans Casino, and still think R911 S2 is the best, so there).

I was going to say, The Strange Vice of Mrs. Wardh ..then I realized it was May 31st.
I guess I'll go with French Sex Murders from Mondo Macabro.
That edges out Danger: Diabolik.
