"Rock" bands that formed in the 70's but you prefer them in the 80's & beyond.

You like there 70's material but prefer there 80's & 90's stuff way more???

For me it's...

Van Halen - yes i prefer sammy, for david lee i loved 1984 & fair warning
Boston - third stage, walk on & corporate america anyday.
Kiss - lick it up, one of my favorite cd's
AC/DC - brian johnson fan
Bad Company - brian howe fan
Journey
Judas Priest - the new album kicks a$$
Scorpions - there latest album "unbreakable" is amazing
Whitesnake
ZZ Top

Interesting. I'd say just about every band mentioned above was WAY better in the 70's (ZZ Top may be about the same goodness in the early 80's).

The only band I can think of is Midnight Oil.

Easy one for me...

Alice Cooper

I discovered Alice with his late 80s metal stuff, so that's the stuff of his I really love. I have an appreciation for his (more popular) 70s stuff, but I still prefer his late 80s/early 90s work.
