Poll: Favorite Kathryn Bigelow Directed Movie.

Ok lets have it folks, your favorite Kathryn Bigelow directed movie.

Mine is a toss up between Point Break and Strange Days. I liked (and disliked) both for different reasons. With Strange Days it was one of those movies I love and hate at the same time, why, I don't know? With Point Break it was a movie I took kind of seriously at times, but when I looked at the big picture of it, I was like WTF am I thinking? The story was a little thin, but I did like the idea of it all. With Strange Days i was a big fan of the cast but the characters are very cliched. My vote goes to Point Break.

Lets hear it.

NEAR DARK - without a doubt. Sexy, visceral, romantic, scary, brutal - all at once. A terrific movie from start to finish.

Near Dark

A certainly different take on the vampire lore with most of Cameron's regulars. It's got a special place in my heart.

Near Dark edges out Strange Days. I also like K-19 (probably in the minority there). Point Break is just too dumb, IMO.

I've never seen Near Dark, but Strange Days is my top choice. It's an engaging stylish thriller that really works because Ralph Fiennes and Angela Bassett really sell those characters and make them work. Bassett in particular, who I think is fabulous in the movie: a great mixture of strength and feminity, something most action heroines never can pull off.

Point Break. Sure, it's dumb as heck, but I love it.

An interesting fact for you, since you apparently haven't seen it...and you don't have to read this if you want to find out for yourself:

Spoiler:
It's the only vampire movie that never actually uses the word "vampire" in any part of the dialogue anywhere in the movie.

Just trivial, but I thought it was pretty cool. I honestly never even thought about that fact all these years, until I bought the DVD and read the liner notes inside.

Great movie.

Easily Near Dark, but I thought K-19 was a bold attempt on her part, and she did surprisingly well with it.

Near Dark, followed by Strange Days.

Point Break not even on the radar due to hamfisted "acting".

This isn't even close. It's definitely Point Break by a huge margin.
It's my favorite Keanu Reeves flick, and my second favorite Patrick Swayze.

It's not everyone's cup of tea(blood?)
I showed it to my friend a few years ago because he loves Vampire movies and he hated it. It's one of my favorites.
