Dont know if this has been discussed before, but I just watched T@ and T3 back to back and found a couple of errors. First off, in the beginning of T2, Patrick (t-1000 I believe) looks up John Connors info on the computer in the police car...says he is 10 years old. How can that be? The psychiatrist says that Sarah Connor was 29. That means she was 19 in the first Terminator since T2 takes place in 1995 ( I think).
Second error I noticed , in the end of T2, they show Sarah Connor as an old woman....in T3, John Connor says his mother died of leukemia.
Anyone else notice this?

The ages are a bit off from the casting, but I don't see the continuity error you are pointing out. The character definitely could have been 19 years old during T1.

The ending you watched was the unused ending, only seen on the Laserdisc and DVD editions, never in the theaters. The ending with her as an old woman could still just be a possible future; which is why the theatrical ending (driving down a dark highway) is more solid way to state that the future is uncertain.

I just watched T2 Extreme edition with the interactive mode on, early on in the movie it mentions that the film takes place in 1997 or 1996 (maybe 1998, but it is one of those) that would make Sarah even younger in Terminator, hmmmm.

I don't remember anyone mentioning Sarah's age in any Terminator film, when does this happen? Does anyone remember if the year of The Terminator was ever stated in the movie or in T2?

ok, well that solves this problem. Guess I was wrong about the 97 date too. I didn't even think about the ramifications in Terminator 3 because I only saw it once and was very disappointed in it.

Continuity errors in a movie that depends highly on time travel? Whaaa?

Geesh...kinda makes the supposed Star Wars errors seem miniscule in comparison... Techinical goofs aside in each film, the dates in T3 have always bothered me. But with these films I'm more than happy to kick back with a few cold ones and watch Arnold blow stuff up.

In my opinion T3 shouldn't of been made, what a way to ruin things.

Why even get worked up about the smallest details, just enjoy the movies. T2 is one of my favorite movies of all-time, and no minor errors would diminish it any in my book.

It's a time travel movie. You really don't need any other answer than that.

Someone should go back in time and prevent T3 from being made. Personally, I will not purchase T3 or ever watch it again, it was just bad. Or maybe we could write our own and go back in time and replace the script.

I thought only Star Wars movies had continuity errors.

As for T3, it had to be made to continue the evil-robots-chasing-young-females-around-and-blowing-shit-up franchise that has grown up around the Terminator series.
