Ever think 1 actor is in a movie only to be totally mistaken years later

okay.. i know the thread title is a little vauge.... I was watching Career Opportunties this morning and I always thought Jon Cryer was the main lead in it... I have seen the movie many times and just always thought Cryer was the janitor.. I was surprised when I looked at IMDB to find out it is Frank Whaley...

This ever happen to anyone else?

Yeah for years I thought this old dude named Sebastian Shaw was in the last scene of RETURN OF THE JEDI...turns out it was some kid that was still in diapers...

He was born in 1981, but you make a good point just the same.

RotJ came out in 1983 and Hayden Christensen was born in 1981, so he wasn't "some kid that hadn't even been born yet".

Sorry, couldn't help it.

For the longest time, I thought Gary Busey was Nick Nolte.

I also used to think Corey Haim played the Sean Astin part in Goonies.

I saw On Her Majesty's Secret Service as a kid and I always thought it was Sean Connery that was in it. When I later saw it some years later I was shocked to see that it was someone else.

Yeah, I was in love with Diana Rigg.

On this thread.... a friend's husband INSISTED that the redhead in The Quiet Earth was Nicole Kidman. Even went so far as to slap $10 on the table. It was the easiest money I ever made.

Alison Routledge (Kiwi) vs. Nicole Kidman (Aussie)

Not even close. To me, AR looks more like the red-haired kid from "Family Affair"

I thought for the longest time that Chris Meloni (L&O:SVU, Oz) was the lead in the Prophecy, until I watched again a few weeks back.

For years I thought James Gregory played the main Gorilla Leader in all the Planet of the Ape films. In fact, he only played a Gorilla(Ursus) in one of the films and it was Beneath The Planet of the Apes.

I also thought Ashley Judd played Keanua Reeves wife in The Devil's Advocate but it was Charlize Theron.

I always thought it was Tobey Maguire in October Sky, but it was Jake Gyllenhaal.

I thought Delroy Lindo was the trainer in Rocky......

I was mistaken.

He was 2 at the time, so it's possible he was already out of diapers by then.

I always thought that Kirsten Dunst was in the first Jurassic Park as the dumb and annoying girl that you can see in every one of these types of movies. Turns out she was in Interview with a Vampire and Jumanji.

After my first viewing of Gettysburg, I thought that General Garnett was played by F. Murray Abraham. It was Andrew Prine, and he really doesn't even look like Abraham.

I thought the same thing. I swore she was in it until I was proved wrong.

For the longest time I thought that Sir Laurence Olivier was in Good Burger only to later realize that it was Kel Mitchell.
