Sliders Season 3? (possibly a 07/19/2005 release)
Has anyone heard word of Sliders Season 3 coming anytime soon? Seems like other shows are coming out much faster. I didn't care for the box of the first season, but enjoy the show very much.

Sweet. That will leave only one more set to buy for this series (I'm going to forget S5 ever happened).

I debated this question after I finally got the first two seasons!!
I deceided to not get season 4 or 5!! I was reading the season 4 episode descriptions on TV TOME when I remembered how much I hated how they turned Quinn into Kal-EL (eg. His parents sending him to OUR world when he was a baby to save him from the Kromags)
Then there was Quinn's brother who I never liked. There was no Wade either.
Season 4 had a few good episodes but not enough to warrent me buying it.
Take care all!!

I would agree that for the most part S4 was a waste but it does have my two favorite episodes (California Reich & Roads Taken) so I will plunk down the cash just for those two.
The S3 artwork is pretty sweet and I'm happy they didn't change the box.

I really dont see the show on TV anymore, unless Sci-Fi is airing it in the wee morning hours and I dont know about it. The artwork looks great. I'm a fan of Maggie so I'll definantely be picking this season up.

Unlike many others I didn't mind the case structure for the first and second seasons boxed set but season 3 is as Bart Simpson might say "Craptacular". For those concerned there is no sponge.

My main complaint is that the discs overlap one another and that makes removal tricky if you want to keep fingerprints and scratches off of the disc surfaces.
Basically it's two jewel case panels with a flimsy mylar jacket that slides into a half-sized cardboard slipcase. One bonus to the set are the inclusions Earth2 and Cleopatra 2525 episodes.

Yet no real SLIDERS extras. I was hoping for another interview featurette at the very least.
I'll never understand why companies like Universal release TV DVDs on double sided discs, which are too fragile, and in this case, inconsistent with Seasons 1 and 2.

I very rarely bitch about cases, inserts and other DVD related issues because it hardly ever helps. Tonight I used the contact form on Universal's site and sent them an e-mail about this awful packaging. It wasn't as professional as it could of been but it sure as hell made me feel a bit better.
Once again your Sliders release has baffled me. You no doubt hear many complaints about the case you used for the Sliders: Season 1 & 2 release. I rarely take the time to complain about something as trivial as a DVD case but the Sliders: Season 3 case is by far the worst I have ever encountered. It uses that flimsy flap that reminds me of the Sex and the City Seasons and it ALSO stacks the DVDs. Each of these is bad enough but to combine the two poor concepts into your one DVD releases just stuns me. It makes getting the dual sided DVDs, something else DVD enthusiasts frown upon, a task almost as complex as "sliding". I applaud your creativity but hopefully you can come up with something that looks similar for the next 2 season but is actually functional. It would also be nice to see more extras based on the show instead of random episodes from other Universal shows on the DVDs. If we can't get features based on the show it would be great if you could trim that 59.99 retail price a bit. Unless you want to use the extra income and get rid of the dual sided DVDs. I'll leave that choice up to you.

Yeah, this case design beyond sucks. You can't lay it flat so it makes it almost impossible to cleanly get discs out with 2 hands. Maybe if you can sprout a third or fourth it would be easier! Weighting the case edges down works best, but man that's just plain annoying.
