Once and for all: Funniest Brooks Film

I've checked past threads and to the best of my knowledge there hasn't been a definitive Mel Brooks Poll. I say forget about Blazing Saddles vs. Young Frankenstein and let's see which Brooks-directed film stands among DVDTalkers as his hands-down funniest ever. Interested to know what everyone's least favorite is too.

I voted for History of the World: Part 1 because that and Airplane! are the 2 funniest movies I've ever seen. I love all Brooks' stuff but HOTWP1 is his masterpiece IMO (The Inquisition??? ). YF may be his best film but this poll is for funniest.

I think Life Stinks is his worst by far.

Obviously I only included films directed by Brooks - there are 11. I left out The Twelve Chairs so feel free to write that one in if you need to.

Mel Brooks' (hypothetical) crappiest movie is better than most stuff coming out of Hollywood today...

I started this thread in hopes of putting an end to the lunacy. The previous threads all compare 2 films - BS and YF - this thread is asking a completely different question. You have 10 choices here. I don't see it as the same poll at all. But what do I know?

Even with 10 films in the mix, I'll still vote for...

I went with Young Frankenstein, a comedy classic I love.

But I agree with the OP on Airplane! the funniest damn movie around.

Toss up between History and Blazing SAddles, but I went with History. For me there are just too many LOL moments to not chose it.

Come on guys, SPACEBALLS isn't THAT funny.

Blazing Saddles first, followed closely (very closely) by YF.

Actually, I think we should come back in a year or two after we've seen the new PRODUCERS film...has the potential to be near the top of this list.

For me...

1. The Producers
2. Blazing Saddles
3. Young Frankenstein

Spaceballs, High Anxiety, and History of the World are just so-so for me, while the rest are pretty awful.

I am really surprised. I thought by this point HOTWP1 would be running away with it. Don't get me wrong, "I celebrate his entire collection", but I'm surprised nonetheless. Not surprised, or surprised, but more like . Yea that's it.
