Is there anything like Shaolin Soccer?

Just saw this movie for the first time a few days ago and I just loved everything about it, the humor, the style, just a really entertaining movie. I plan to see Kung Fu Hustle when it comes to DVD because I know Chow directed it as well, but are there any other films you recommend for a similar taste as SS?

Hmm nothiing much similar. Maybe Arahan (which I liked better than Kung Fu Hustle) but Shaolin Soccer is still better.

If you liked Hong Kong comedy, check out Mr. Vampire on Fox/Fortune Star. I bought this as a blind buy and just loved it. Hilarious and over-the-top action, could'nt stop myself laughing watching this. Highly recommend.

Yes there is.

Go Region Free, every film fan should do so.

You should check out Battlefield Baseball.

It's a rad baseball/zombie movie...characters break out into random songs, ect.

No. Sony is being kind to it.

IMO, it's not nearly as good as SOCCER.

Here here. You gotta love a cooking movie that bases itself around a dish called "pissing shrimp beef balls".

There's a thai movie called Sagai United that looks like an almost carbon-copy of Shaolin Soccer. It still looks pretty decent though, and I'll probably pick it up at some point. The official Thai release can be had for only $10.00 over at eThaiCD, and it actually has English subs.

Official site here: www.sagaiunited.com

god of cookery is great

kung fu hustle is his best in my opinion

there is this other hilarious film that is just insane...especially if your stoned. forgot what its called. citizen zero...something like that. ...something with zero in the title. its a korean high school comedy with martial arts.

its best to watch it with the awful english dubbing on and the subtitles because they seem to translate two different films!

God of Cookery (also Stephen Chow) is pretty hilarious, but don't expect any kind of special effects at all.

You're telling me when Bull Tong was making his assorted noodle dish, all his chopping was real?

The R1 DVD has both the Korean version (original language with subtitles option) and the MTV (dubbed) version on the disc.

I didn't like hustle as much as soccer.

Also, I think the movie you're thinking of is Conduct Zero.
