I'm really digging 13 right now. What do you think?

It's a Parklife for me! I also prefer their first 4 albums much more than their last three. Cheers!

"I get up when I want
Except on Wednesdays
When I get rudely awakened by the dustmen
I put my trousers on
Have a cup of tea
And I think about leaving the house
I feed the pigeons
I sometimes feed the sparrows too
It gives me a sense of enormous well-being
And then I'm happy for the rest of the day
Safe in the knowledge
There will always be
A bit of my heart devoted to it"
Parklife!
One of the greatest pop albums of all time. Every song is a classic unto itself, and the amount of genre-switching within the album is simply astounding. The Rubber Soul of the '90s.

While Blur are my faves, and I respect all of their work (if not love all of it), my vote goes for the great Modern Life Is Rubbish album. "Blue Jeans" might be the most peaceful song ever recorded, "Popscene" is a fun quick track, "Colin Zeal" is one of the best of their 'character' songs and I challenge anyone to NOT join in with the chorus of "For Tomorrow".
Most would agree Parklife, which has their best work, but there's some awful dreck on it too - hence my vote being swayed. Just can't vote for an album with "Bank Holiday" on it...

I like Blur in bits and pieces..Parklife being my favorite album.
As for the most insanely British lyrics of all time...pick up an album by the underrated and sorely missed, "Carter the Unstoppable Sex Machine"....preferably, the '1992' album. Amazing record.

Ive been a fan since day 1, so Leisure has a special place for me. But, I can't argue against Parklife either. What a brilliant album!
I think the big problem with Blur was the departure Graham Coxxon from the band. Right when you think they finally figured out how to please the UK and the US masses with song #2, they turn around and put out albums like 13 and Think Tank. I think Damon needs to spend more time around John Lydon and less around Gospel Choirs.
PS....I love CARTER the Unstoppable Sex Machine. Sheriff Fat Man is a classic!

Maybe it's because I've listened to Parklife so much, but I find myself enjoying this follow up more and more over the years.

I picked Parklife in the poll, but it is a real toss-up between Parklife, Modern Life is Rubbish and Blur. I had to go with Parklife because I think it stands out as one of those albums that defines the britpop era. I am not enjoying their newer stuff as well as the old classics, and I'm not sure I can ever forgive them for getting rid of Graham Coxon!
