Saw2 official site online

Bloody-disgusting posted the link to http://www.saw2.com/ which is now live.

I cant wait for the sequel. Hopefully it wont be hindered by not having Wan back at the helm or maybe it will be better?

Saw had potential it never used.

Fall 2005? That is a quick turn-around for a sequel.

I enjoyed Saw, it'll be interesting to see where they take the sequel. From the rumors going around about the plot, doesn't sound too promising though.

Saw was fucking awful. Some of the worst peformances ever pulled from known actors and the unknown actors were shit as well. It just wanted to be Seven so badly, but failed so miserably. The only cleverness happened at the end, but by then you realize that everyone was so dumb it didn't really matter. I'd say with the surprise gone, the film lacks a chance to be clever and all that remains is the chance to be creative with the deaths.

Spoiler:
dying of cancer mastermind guy is a lousy villain for sequel fodder... his character is the only thing that can string together sequels and he wasn't barely in the first one.

I can't say this will be a good or bad film, but I can say that this sequel is a bad idea IMO.

My idea for a decent sequel with an even bigger twist is that the guy with the tumor isnt the killer either. Hes just another piece in an even bigger game. The real killer uses this guy (who we know is gonna die sooner than later) to cover his own tracks and agenda.

That'd be about as fun as if they had revealed that the real world was just another Matrix. In other words, one step too far on the road of feasible complication.

Well the plausibility of what they have already revealed is a little above what most people are willing to accept. So what if this seems too much for most people to believe. From what many have said about the first one, I don't think that there is gonna be enough people that really care to make a difference. It would be cool to see how they could one up themselves considering how most of us dont believe that the tumor man could be the real killer anyways. It is just a movie so have fun with it. The fact that Star Wars isn't real hasn't kept most of us from enjoying it.

I'm looking forward to it. Saw was fucking great Hopefully some interesting ideas will be made for the sequel, although i won't get my hopes up since it will be hard to beat the excellent twist and ideas in the first.

I loved the first, seen my dvd at least 4-5 times now. I was thinking that John wasnt the real jigsaw killer. I mean, what else can you do. They never did show or explain why jigsaw took a piece yet, is he making a weird picture w/ them or something? hmmmm.

It seems only right that who we think is the killer is really not. Part of the fun of the movie is not knowing who is behind it and why. Im sure that Saw 2 will be the last of these films so I'm sure they will try and go out with a bang.

Wouldn't the sequel to Saw be called Seen?

Realistically portraying present-day reality has nothing to do with a movie maintaining internal plausibility enough for its viewers to suspend their disbelief. Every movie, no matter what the genre, needs to "work" within the confines of its own world, or it suffers as a result.

I recall someone once saying that audiences will accept the impossible, but not the improbable. This is why people can enjoy Star Wars, and yet question the plausibility of Jar-Jar being promoted to any office of responsibility.

Could Saw 2 work if it went the route of "the REAL killer made someone else hire someone else to capture someone else"? Maybe. But I still think such an explanation is pushing it.

Isn't the second movie made by other people entirely, with an existing script that they just attached the jigsaw killer to? I can't remember where I read that. Maybe an Empire magazine or something. The makers of the first film are busy on other projects now. I'd say part 2 will be a waste of time like Blair Witch 2.

I haven't seen Saw yet, but it's piqued my interest. I've heard very mixed things. I'm kind of surprised that there's going to be a sequel, though.
