Law & Order SVU: only 1st and 5th season on dvd?
Am I missing something here or are these the only 2 seasons they have out?
It seems like they are missing seasons 2-4.

NBC/Universal skipped ahead on all the Law and Orders to release the latest seasons last fall to capitalize on the more popular recent casts. They may be adopting a new release cycle of having older seasons in the spring and the current season in the fall to help promote the upcoming season's premiere, much like what happens with 24 and some other dramas, but that's just me speculating.
There's no release date yet for SVU Season 2 however. Perhaps we'll see it later this spring.
I'm surprised they just haven't played a quick game of catch up for SVU and Criminal Intent since they have relatively few season and could probably get all of their older seasons out in one year with no problem. The original series on the other hand is going to take forever to be released.

The original L&O S3 will be out on 5/17/05. No word on SVU or CI. That means that for L&O, S1, S2, S3, and S14 will be out after May, and only S1 & S3 for CI and S1 & S5 for SVU.
