SHOUT! Factory considering America's Funniest Home Videos

SHOUT! Factory just invited me to take a survey that turned out to be concepts for an America's Funniest Home Videos DVD release. Not something I've been waiting for, but I'm sure there are some out there!

Who would this show be worth multiple viewings?

Eh, I'm sure Bob Saget could use the royalities.

Why?

I think a DVD or two of videos from the show would be great fun.

This is the definition of a one-note show, and yet it had such a following. The so-called humor is juvenille and repetitive. If you've seen one, you've seen them all. Baby hits dad in the nuts with a BBQ grill; BRILLIANT!

IMO, the same could be said of NAPOLEON DYNAMITE.

But that seems to have everybody's approval.

Because that was more than just slapstick "humor."

I got the survey and put absolutely no interest what so ever and I was excluded from the survey. I guess they only want opinions from those that would actually buy a whole season of videos of guys getting hit in the nuts.

I've been a big supporter of Shout Factory, but this might be the worse DVD idea...ever.

Hell, I'd buy that (even if America's Funniest People was even a worse show).

If Golden Girls, Saved by the bell:college years & Full House can be released then I see no problem with this show.

I'd say The Golden Girls is a fairly landmark television show, and thus, has every right to be on DVD.

Not gonna get it at all. Kinda weird coming from Shout! as they did do Freaks and Geeks, and will be doing Undeclared.

I would buy it, so long as it is season sets only.

No, your opinion was recorded appropriately. The rest of the survey was along the lines of "since you ARE interested in buying this, what configuration would you prefer?" There were 5 different proposed configs, two in single-disc versions and three in four-disc versions. When they asked about price points, they also mentioned a three-disc config as a possibility as well.

Basically the survey is "you want this, yes or no? if yes, then what type of package would entice you the most?"

I don't want the vids of the guys getting hit in the nuts. I want the vids of the gals accidentally getting their dresses ripped off.

-Christmas Trees Falling onto Grandma.
-Babies Pulling Hair.
-Kittens Dressed as People.

We have a similar show in the UK, I am not sure, but I think it's called The Falling Down Show.

Like, there was this man, and he (chuckle) fell down, y'know? then (har har) this woman fell down, and then, right... this dog (hawwwwww) fell down, then TWO (snicker) men fell down. Awwwww, but the funniest bit was when (ho ho ho ho ho ho ) a whole house fell down...

Yeeeeeeeeah...I don't think I'd buy it, then again, there are a lot of TV shows that have been released that I have no interest in buying (or I've never heard of...227? Eh?).
