Natalie Portman or Emmy Rossum:who will have the bigger career?
While Portman has been around a while, she just recently proved to many that she can act with Closer. Rossum is new to the scene with her big break being in the screen adaptation of Phantom of the Opera.
Right now I would call it a toss up, but I think Portman once said she might get out of acting soon. Rossum on the other hand looks great and has talent with both singing and acting abilities. Your choice? Like the third one don't you?
Oh, here are some pics

Natalie has it down...Star Wars...love it or hate it...is timeless...Phantom gets made every 20 years...plus Natalie has movies spanning from Leon to Garden State to draw in people not counting the respect from Closer....plus she has the teenage girls hooked with movies like where the heart is.
Hope they both do well...but no doubt in my mind who is more talented...and will be more successful

Didn't know this thing posted. My PC malfunctioned before I could get the pics and the poll going for it. Thanks to whomever posted them for me!
P.S. The third option was going to be "Just let the two of them make out!"

Two hot Jewish chicks. I prefer Rossum, only because I think she's more versatile an actress. Check her out in Songcatcher and Passionada if you don't believe me. The fact that she filmed the latter when she was only 14 is slightly... disturbing... to me... to say the least...

Natalie Portman is already a movie star. Whether she'll ever be a box office draw like a Julia Roberts is, well, hard to say (and probably not, very few female actresses really reach that level) she is someone that is sought after and well regarded.
Emmy Rossum, on the other hand, is a chick who's had a couple big roles, but quite frankly I doubt most people have any idea who she is. I wish I could say acting talent was relevant to this discussion, but it really isn't. They're both good enough to be in movies, the question is whether they're famous enough people know them and want to see their movies because of them. And Portman already is at that point. Rossum...not quite, and I'm not entirely sure she will. But it's always possible, I just don't see it happening.

What sets Rossum apart from other beautiful actresses her age is her singing ability.
But how many movies are going to come along where that talent will be the decisive factor in the casting?
As far as Portman goes, I think she's a gifted actress, and I use the word "gifted" because she obviously has talent, and she certainly hasn't applied herself to developing it in any meaningful way.
I would like to predict a long career ahead for Natalie (because I am a drooling fanboy) but I think it's more likely that she will simply give up acting. Maybe not all together, but as a profession. It will become something she can do, and something she did as a child, but not something she wants to devote her life to doing.

Natalie is right near the top of my favorite actresses, so, I have to go with her, and I think she is the most beautiful actress today. She has already an amazing career, and hopefully it will continue.
As for Rossum, I think it's too early to say what kind of career she will have, I mean Phantom is her breakout role which she was gorgeous in, I thought anyways...and who can forget her performance in Mystic River, huh?

I don't even see how this is a questions worth discussing. Natalie has been in in demand actress making major movies for well over 10 years. The other chick has made one semi-major movie so far, she has yet to prove she is anything more than a typical "it" chick of the moment flash in the pan, & Natalie has proven she has lasting talent with a career that is still in it's early stages.
And yes, both are hot.

Scarlett Johansson....oh she wasn't an option.
Natalie, I guess. Leon is still her best movie and probably always will be as that movie kicks SO much ass.

If that was the situation, it would be Natalie all the way.
Kiera better be glad she is hot, cause she can't act to save her life.
