going to see Scissor Sisters on 12/12
I'm taking my 13-yr-old daughter to see Scissor Sisters on Sunday night in Chicago. I'm familiar with the Elton John-esque Take Your Momma Out, but I've been checking out their latest, and they do a campy cover of Comfortably Numb that I have to admit is enjoyably weird.
I've heard they have a fairly visual stage presence. Has anyone seen them live? What can I expect?
Musically, my tastes have always run deep into the "alt" spectrum (whatever that is), so as a result I'm actually looking forward to the concert.

I haven't seen them, but understand they are very campy. Gay. I LOVE their album. The first half of that CD is just some of the catchiest music of the past year. When I heard the "Comfortably Numb" remake at first I thought it sucked even though it was a funny idea. Having listened to the CD over and over I finally gave in to it's brilliance!
Have fun.

Just listened to the sound samples on iTunes. Very 70's AM radio poppy in the best possible way. Sounds like a lot of fun. I'm so tired of downbeat music. The Pink Floyd cover is kind of gimmicky, but it's not really representative of the whole album.
