This will be a completely worthless Grammys. It's going to be a 3-hour Ray Charles love fest for an album that wouldn't have even been nominated had he not passed away.

Amen. Was the album released in the period for this year or last, though? Seems like it's been out forever.
Either way, "Charlene" could have gotten a song nod.

In general, happy about the Tift Merritt nod and, er, well, "Vertigo" is an OK song. Oh, yeah Franz Ferdinand, too.
But I'm OK with the Grammys not really "speaking" to me.

well look at their name. hoobastank basically means whose butt stinks. and the reason is a horrible excuse for a record. once they lost the saxaphone player from their first album they took a dive.

I didn't realize the new Green Day album was so well regarded.
Is that 'Daily Show' nomination under 'Best Comedy Album' for the book-on-tape, or did they rework the book into a comedy album?

I've always figured a "snub" was, for whatever reason, ignoring something that deserved to be rewarded. If anything it shows the complete ignorance of the grammy powers that be in relation to hip hop music that a piece of garbage like "Just Lose It" was nominated at all. As it was previously stated, Anthony Hamilton was "snubbed", they just finally got it right with Eminem this time. Good to see the Green Day love...American Idiot was an outstanding album. I loved the Kanye album, but his ego really doen't need any more gassing...I guess if he weren't nominated, we'd hear him whining about it until next year like he did his Source, XXL, and Rolling Stone reviews...yeah Kanye the album was very good, but the 25 redundant skits you had on there really fucked up the flow.

Take out Melissa Etheridge and you got a tough tough category. Any of the four deserve to win. Toughest category for me to choose between.
The other nominees in other categories (sans Elvis Costello) = shit.
90% of music today sucks major balls.

Grammys Screwed up again. Tom Waits deserved a nom for Album of the Year with Real Gone. How he only got 1 nomination is amazing to me.
I dont know if Ive ever seen so much Crap on one list.

I think that's pretty shitty they give Ray Charles all the nominations after he's passed. If you really wanted to reward him you should have gave him the awards when he was here. Now, it just comes off as sympathy noms. F the Grammys.
