Oasis to open for U2 next year!!!!!!!

I have been reading U2 messageboards and it appears that Oasis are set to open up for U2 during many of their concerts next year. This kicks so much ass. As long as Liam's voice holds up(which is always the question) this could be Freakin' MEGA!!!!!!!

maybe Noel Gallagher would come out and perform "One Step Closer" with Bono, since he helped him with the song!

If I happen to see U2, I HOPE they're not opening that particular show..

Don't need the drama that is the "Brothers Gallagher"..

There were rumors about that on the Oasis message boards also, but they've kind of died down. Oasis have already scheduled some of their bigger stadium dates in the UK that coincide with some of U2's dates (different places) and are working on scheduling the rest of their tour. The rumors I've heard were that Oasis might open for U2 on some of their US tour dates - that sounds more likely.

Evidently Noel named the song for him. Bono and Noel were hanging out and Bono mentioned that his dad was dying. Noel asked him if his dad believed in God. Bono said he didn't know and Noel told him "well, he's one step closer to knowing then isn't he?"

I doubt this to be the case.

What I have heard is Scissor Sisters.

Yeah I've heard Scissor Sisters or Snow Patrol, who are also Irish.

Why would U2 open with a band that reached it's peak at least 2 albums ago?

It ain't gonna be Oasis. No way. No how.

I love Snow Patrol, but dislike Scissor Sisters...so lets hope it's Snow Patrol.
