I would very much doubt that they did an early 80's rap song. More than likely it was Mario's R&B song in which he sampled the original.

"Angel" is probably Shaggy's cover of the old tune. Sarah McLachlan's song of that name doesn't seem like the kind of song Kidz Bop would cover.
