Cute. Won't stop Halo 2 from outselling Metroid Prime 2 big time, but I like the way Nintendo is thinking in their advertising lately. I'm waiting for the DS add where we get to "touch" Samus.

No doubt, Halo2 will crush MP2 in sales but it is a pretty good ad campaign.

Yeah Halo 2 will outsell Metroid... but perhaps if you count all the Metroid games released in the time it takes them to make 1 halo sequal...

It is funny, but Nintendo isn't behind it. Those domains are owned by someone else.

Yea what a pathetic Nintendo fanboy! All those domains must have cost him/her a small fortune. What he/she should have done is spent the money and bought some extra copies of Metroid 2; at least that would add to the numbers of sales, which will be low compared to Halo2

*disclaimer: Don’t what to cause any problems, but Metroid will have lower numbers compared to Halo 2. Just has Halo 2 will have lower numbers to GTA. *

Interesting you think that, not saying I disagree but check this site out: http://www.gamestats.com. At the time of this posting Metroid Echoes is beating out Halo2 in buzz. Additionally if you scroll down you will see a poll for what game was the best, Prime, Halo, or SoCom. Prime takes top honors easily. yes of course there is possability for all kinds of bias here, but my point is I don't think Nintendo's offering will be so easily be overlooked.

Those numbers are really close....we're talking about it being up by a tenth of a number. Its super close...we'll see.

Plus from my understanding Halo2 has already 1.5 million preorders.

I think its cool.

Still Bugie is miles ahead in marketing and the fan base is way more loyal.

I don't think the Halo fanbase is more loyal. Not by a long stretch. Nintendo fans are probably the most loyal in all of gaming.

Halo's fanbase is definitely larger, as MP didn't sell super well. Which is dissappointing as it's by far my favorite game this generation so far. :-(

I guess that's why my interest in gaming is waning so much, my taste in games just doesn't mesh with the majority of gamers anymore.

Now if Halo only scanned and turned into a ball the game would be perfect then, right?

If it had more exploration and less shooting ala MP (along with the rolling, scanning and other things that make the MP less repetive than most FPS type games) it would be perfect.

One disappointment of Halo to me was restricted weapon usage. Sure grenades were cool but in Metroid Prime I could chose from 4 weapons (x2 w/charge effects, x3 w/charge super missile), missiles x2 along with the morphball bomb x2. Halo 2 does look improved on with duel-wielding but I'm still more excited for Echoes. The gamestats.com survey is now being dominated by Metroid Prime-77% to Halo-18%.

The SURVEY not the stats. It's Halo vs. Metroid vs. Socom.

I have both pre-ordered through the gamerush deals, even though I still haven't played the first Halo. Really liked Metroid Prime though.

I expect Halo 2 to easily outsell Metroid Prime, as others have already mentioned, due to better marketing and hype, regardless of the quality of either. Nice to see Metroid up there in a gamestats poll, but I don't think it will reflect sales at all. Now if this was the new Zelda, it might be a different story.

See what I mean? Most people are clueless on what the hell is the Bees about.

Ravan is a website where bungie through in clues about Halo2....
