Although I wasn't a big fan of his "no respect" one-liner standup comedy, he was a huge influence in helping the careers of young unknown comics. He made a lot of careers. Plus, he made quite a few classic movies. Even lesser films like Ladybugs and Meet Wally Sparks were okay just by his presence.

Just found this out at work - this really sucks, I loved his comedy and thought he was a great guy, he'll be missed.
