Congrats! We had a baby boy back in July. He's not playing video games yet though. Slow learner, I guess.

Yeah, my daughter just turned 1 on Sunday and she still sucks at games. I've about given up on her. She is no help at all when playing multiplayer and she has just about chewed up my wavebird.

Anyway congrats on the birth.

I made my son start video games on the Atari 2600 (Combat, Starship and Adventure mostly), then moved to the NES (Super Mario Bros 1-3) and then and only then did I let him move to the SNES/N64/Playstation. He's now knee deep in GBA, PS2, and GCN. Unfortunately he can beat me at Mario Kart Double Dash. He's 9 years old.

Congrats!

Bah - my wavefird suffered a similar fate.

Luckily the drool dried up in about a day or two... but I was worried there for a while.

Congrats to Darth Gamer! Keep your games/controllers in a high place.

That's for sure. My boy was playing World Class Bowling at 14 months with a trackball.

Congrats to Darth!

Congratulations, but be prepared to suffer for awhile as far as gaming time goes. Since my son was born this past April, I honestly have very little free time and trying to watch movies & play games truly becomes a luxury.

Congrats! We had our first in January. He has taken a keen interest in the Xbox and PS2, but I think he only likes throwing the controllers or chewing on cords. He can't reach the GC yet, but he does prefer the wavebird.

Thank You everybody for the congrats and good thoughts as well as the good advice. I can't wait for the day that I have to wipe off the drool from a controller. Nicholas is still in the NICU (Neonatal intensive care unit) because of a complication but is doing great. In fact, he is doing so good that hopefully he can come home in a week or two compared to 6 weeks to 6 months. One good thing about all of this is that I have had alot of time to sit and play my gameboy at the hospital while we wait. I finally beat FF Tactics adv. 84 hours. I had stopped playing that game for about 4 months. Anyway, Good thoughts to everyone and good gaming too.

DARTH

God bless. Enjoy your son; he will change you. I learned more from my son in six months than I did from my father in 32 years.

I know what you mean. My father knew absolutely nothing about The Wiggles.
