Any Deals on X-Men Legends?
I know its pretty late in the week but any know of any deals for X-Men Legends?
(on a side note, I've been debating this game with Sims 2, and although both games are completely different, what do you think is a better bet?)

Because you demanded it (actually, only gorgo99 did), the IGN review of X-Men legends:

X-Men Legends doesn't really impress technically in terms of sound or visuals, but it's really all about the combat anyway. The fighting is simple, addictive, and enjoyable throughout the long adventure. It's nice to see the X-Men get their due with a game that truly showcases what has made the comics great for three decades. There are a few things that will annoy people, particularly the accidental suicides, but most of Legends is a joy. The story is good, very fitting for the X-Men universe, and every character but Cyclops is perfectly realized. It's more fun with friends, but is still enjoyable all by your lonesome. With a long, involved story mode and bonus modes beyond that, this one will take up a chunk of your life. X-Men Legends is a must for any X-Men fan or fan of dungeon-crawling RPGs.
-- Hilary Goldstein
8.5 Presentation
The best use of the X-Men license in a video game. Lots of characters, plenty of extras, and a story that works perfectly for the X-Universe.
7.0 Graphics
In motion the game looks very nice with some attractive effects and tons of destructible environments. When not moving, characters have non-descript faces and oven-mitts for hands.
7.0 Sound
There's not a lot going on in the score, not enough to make it particularly memorable, but the SFX are pretty good. Voice-acting is 50% great and 50% terrible.
8.5 Gameplay
Lots of fun to play alone or with four players. Some bad points, including stupid AI allies, but overall one of the better dungeon-crawling experiences out there.
9.0 Lasting Appeal
A sizable quest that will take 20-30 hours depending on skill level. Lots of Danger Room scenarios, three flashback missions, and adversarial multiplayer. Easily the most robust X-Men game ever made.
8.4 OVERALL:
(out of 10 / not an average)

I can't open the link here at work, but I read last night on Gamespot.com that they rated it an 8.something... only negatives I remember was that the game was too easy, but the fun factor and long length of the story (20 hours to beat it) made up for it. Being a big X-Men fan, definitely will be picking this up at some point.
It's cool you get to pick from 15 X-Men to form a team of 4...
Rogue
Psylocke
Wolverine
Cyclops
Storm
Iceman
Collosus
Emma Frost
Beast
Nightcrawler
Magma (from the New Mutants)
Gambit
Jubilee
dang it! There's 2 more I can't think of...
I think it was Jean Grey & Kitty Pryde.....

Hmm... kitty wouldn't really have any offensive powers, though...
and Magma? Is she featured in the comics now or something? That's a rather obscure character to use, I'd think. If they wanted someone with flames, why not Sunfire?

I love that the game has got some length to it. Really jazzed by the idea of classic missions and hope they have even more in the next game. I just wish we could get a DC-baed game like this.

And just to make sure I don't get in trouble, I'm basically describing the plot of the DC comic Identity Crisis.

I can't wait to get this, but I'm dismayed that they wasted roster spots with Jubilee and Emma Frost, especially when Angel/Archangel is missing. Other old school inclusions that would have been awesome: Havoc, Longshot, Banshee, Polaris (from this you can probably gauge the period during which I was reading X-Men). Overall, they did a pretty good job of picking folks, though.
Now if only they programmed in a secret X-Babies mode.

ok a little update.
Decided to go with X-Men Legends using the $5 Gamer's Coupon at BestBuy so the price was bascially $45.
And man was I happy with it.
I literally was in an aisle debating between Sims and X-men when I decided to go fanboy. And it was great. As some of the reviews have stated, the graphics isn't as good as say Sims 2 or Viewitful Joe but it makes up for in it gameplay.
I'm already gushing with the fact that if I wanted to, I could have Wolvering tear up a friggin city if I so wanted.
Anyways.
GO GET X-MEN Legends!!!

That would kick ass. Be very random, but still kick ass.

There's always the sequel...always the sequel. The thing about Jubilee is she was a crucial part of the X-Men cartoon, which while dated, is the main exposure (outside of the movies and the comics) of a lot of casual people to the team. So I can understand why she's there. But yeah, Emma could have hit the chopping block.

Today's Fry's ad here in Atlanta has the PS2 and XBox versions on sale for $38.99. I don't know if they're including the GCN version at that price or not, but it is neither shown nor mentioned in the ad (and that's the one I need, dammit).

Love the game, it's pretty addictive. I just played the flashback sequence with the sentinels, and it's pretty fun. I love the original uniform in that sequence. It would've been cool playing the rest of the game with those orig uniforms, but have no idea.
I just unlocked the Extreme Costumes (At the main menu press Up, Up, Right, Left, Down, Down, Start ) but I don't know how to use it and if it's the same as from the flashback sequences.
If you like the x-men and sort of like those norrath rpgs, then buy this game, I haven't been this excited to come home and play since KOTOR.
