OK, all ye Swashbucklin, treasure seekin' scalywags...

OK all ye Swashbucklin, treasure seekin' scalywags who thinks tharrr thee expart in the Xbox (sorry my eyes and fingers are starting to hurt)...

I recently purchased a new Xbox and tried to adjust the settings in the dashboard. Under 'Video', I remember setting the output to 'Widescreen' then individually being able to turn ON or OFF 480p, 720p, and 1080i. However, this newer Xbox allows adjustment for only aspect ratio (Normal, Letterbox, or Widescreen).

Did I miss a step somewhere? I've played only with the Normal aspect ratio. Maybe that has something to do with it?

First with thee best answer picks the wench of tharrr choice and gets the pirates booty! (not the booty you're use to thinking of)

The only thing I can think of is that those options won't be there if you don't have the high-def pack hooked up to the XBOX. Could that be your problem?

Yeah, you're right. I know the HD option stuff isn't available if you don't have a hi-def adapter plugged in.
