With the demise of interplay it was assumed that Fallout 3 was canned (many places reported this) well it seems out friends at Bethesda (Marrowind) are making fallout 3 as we speak

This is great. Ever since I played Wasteland (pretty much the introduction of the series) in the late 80's, I have loved this series. Another post nuke game is what I need. Thank you Bethesda!

Cool, although Bethesda lost a lot of credibility with me after the god-awful Pirates of the Carribean (although I realize that much of the problems with that game were not their fault).

I would have liked to see Troika do a Fallout sequel.

The latest news was that it's not going to be far enough along to be shown at E3 this year. I'm guessing that a 2006 release is unlikely.

Given thier long development cycles, it's no surprise Bethesda won't be showing anything at E3 this year. I honestly don't expect this game to be released for a couple years at least.
