We’re not sure if these are legit or not, but an anonymous tipster who claimed to be a part of a focus group for the upcoming Xbox2 sent us some questionable screengrabs of two of the “logos and console designs being considered for the next generation Xbox system” (that quote according to the focus group material we saw). We’d send ‘em back to the drawing board if it we were in that focus group, but supposedly they’ve got more cooking—it’d be pretty foolish if they didn’t—so we’ll see.

hm, i think the handle is a good idea, but they should make the case concave so that the handle maintains the rectilinear form.
i have no clue how true these pics are but it's certainly interesting.

Yeah the top one looks like a mini Keychain version of xbox and the bottom one looks like the phantom. I'm not sure i like the handle bit, I like the edges squared so i can placce it on any side of the entertainment center with no problem square against the wall. With the top design you won't be able to place it along the right side of the entertainment center. Maybe if the handle were removable with little clips I would like it better

That new logo looks horrible; it's too busy.
They should just keep the current logo (two slashes, peeling back the black surface) and figure-out a way to get a "2" to fit into this.
The cabinets themselves seem overly flashy especially the candidate pictured on top with the handle.
In my opinion, MS should stick with a home-entertainment-center look/appearance and build the next Xbox with the same dimensions as a DVD player in a black cabinet.
The Asian market will not go for this but I highly doubt they are the "top" priority anyway.
