Sony RPTV Problems

I have a KP-57WS500 RPTV I bought at Best Buy almost 2 years ago. I have had the flash problem or whatever, and contacted Sony to come and repair the TV maybe 8-10 months ago.

I have noticed on black screens that there are several blue lines arcing across the screen. They are concave down if it matters. Also it appears when side-by-side picture the the TV picture is skewed clockwise a couple of degrees.

The question is, should I call Best Buy before my extended warrenty wears out, Call Sony and have them set something up again, or call the company that made the repair to fix it.

I was hoping for Best Buy and they would upgrade me to the new model, but I am afraid that someone from the "Geek Squad" will come and mess with it.

Anybody else have experience with replacement from BB. I am thinking they would have to upgrade me since the other model is no longer available.

if you have the extened warranty. than use it. You obviously purchased it for matters like this. If you don't use it you're wasting money. What's the worst that can happen....you could possibly get a new tv,or they fix it.

Well, BB sent out a company to repair, but instead of showing up, the guy called and said he was going to order a new blue CRT. So, it appears as I will have another CRT replaced. One more time, and I think I qualify for a new set...
