Hello all,

My DVD bit the dust last night, and I need a new one asap. Are there any players that meet all of the following criteria? I've listed the features in order of importance, as I know getting all of these features is probably a pipe dream:

- Progressive Scan
- Pal -> NTSC Converter
- Region Free (or VERY easily hacked)
- DVD-Audio
- SACD
- HDTV Upconvert
- ¡Ö$250

Any ideas? I hope to order a new player this week. Thanks!

THIS is probably the closest that you will get. No DVD audio, though.

EDIT: Oops, thought this had SACD support. I was wrong.

Actually, I think this one is closer to what he's looking for:

It's a region free universal player (plays everything, SACD/DVD-A, etc.) and comes in just under $250.

renaldow, that is the best I have seen so far! If I don't find anything better by the end of the weekend, I think I will get that one.

I have one more question. Is there anything comparable that has a DVI output? I would be willing to spend more, especially if it had everything on my list. I can't afford $1000 or anything like that, but I could stretch my budget somewhat if it was worthwhile. Thanks again!
