any CURIOSA reviews?

I saw the show in Chicago and it was really good. Unfortunately I missed Mogwai. I really wanted to see them again, but I didn't anticipate Chicago traffic being quite as bad as it was, so I was late for their set. They're always really good, though. I was curious to see what they'd cram into a thirty minute set. I enjoyed the Rapture. I'd never seen them before. Interpol were also really good, and the Cure were great as usual. Their set was a lot poppier than I was expecting. Don't expect to hear Faith or All Cats are Grey or anything like that, but it was good. The Chicago show was also the night that Muse dropped out, due to their bass player injuring their wrist.
Basically I'm trying to say that you'll have a great time.

Saw the Boston leg a couple weeks ago----really fun. Mogwai was quite experimental and fun, but I was really impressed by The Rapture---kind of a PIL/Gang of Four sound that was pretty interesting and rocking. Interpol just doesn't really do it for me. They sounded fine live, but their songwriting to me just isn't that distinctive or hook-laden. The Cure was just completely awesome. PERFECT live sound, and a great song selection. All the hits I wanted, plus some brand new stuff, and some really early stuff like A Forest. A fun show.

My reviews for the Dallas and Houston shows are up at A Chain of Flowers . Here are a few pics I took from the pit in Dallas. All I had was a crappy disposable camera. I need to get a digital camera. My friend had her's and her pics look like she was on stage with them.

Well, I guess I was wrong. I took a look at a few other setlists, and it looks like Chicago just happened to be the happiest pop-fest of the bunch. That was fine by me, since the last Cure show I saw was much darker, but I still would have preferred a moodier setlist.

Just got back from the show tonight in San Diego. I really liked the Rapture. I had never heard them before, but I think I'll have to check out their CD now. Interpol was great, and it was good to hear some new material of their upcoming album. And of course, The Cure was awesome. Watching the Trilogy DVD just doesn't compare to seeing them in person.

The Boston show was great. Rapture impressed me and Interpol were excellent. My fiance loves Interpol, so that was her highlight. Cure were, of course, on top of their game, with great song selection, lots off Disintegration. All in all, a great festival.
