A Few Quick HT Setup Questions

Hi,
Just a couple of quick misc. questions:

1. Does it matter which I put on top? I try to avoid stacking components if avoidable but it's not here. I have my DirecTivo and my DVD player. Does it make a difference which I put on top of the other? Also, anyone know if I'm supposed to put my Tivo on "Standby" or is it OK to just leave it on at all times?

2. Does it matter if I take the speaker covers off? I have JBLs and they look way cooler with the front covers off. Does it make any difference sound-wise or otherwise if I leave them off?

Thanks.

I would guess that the Tivo box will run hot like most other dss receivers. I would put that on top of your player.

I leave speaker covers on for several reasons. it protects the drivers from lots of dust and it keeps little fingers from poking the dust caps on the drivers.

Thanks. I do have the Tivo on top and put the speaker covers back on because there are too manylittle fingers around...
