I was at Best buy and they were selling the CyberHome CH-DVD 300 for 34.99 and for an extra 9.99 they will make it Region Free. Good deal?

Somebody should report Best Buy to the MPAA or whoever enforces that stuff.

I'm guessing it's a rogue employee offering this "service," although I've been known to make bad guesses.

If somebody else has seen the same deal in another Best Buy, I'd be interested to hear about it.

I know that we do not offer this "deal" at the Best buy that I work at. If someone asks for a region free player, I show them the Cyberhome, and tell them what they need to do to make it region free. Most people seem happy that I am will to tell them how to do it, but I would never thought that some tool would try to make a buck off it.
