There is probably double that count who were studio musicians.

Yeah, two studio musicians that I know about are Bob Kulick (Bruce's brother) who did some of Ace's solos, and Anton Fig who "ghost drummed" on most of Dynasty and all of Unmasked. Other than that, in the old days at least, the band members often subbed for each other (eg. Paul or Ace playing the bass guitar on certain tracks instead of Gene)

Bruce Kulick was the one I forgot about....the others that I didn't list....I didn't know about.

Someone ghosted on Dynasty?!? That's like one of the only KISS albums I know really well damn it! First KISS LP I ever had! Peter's on the cover.....THE COVER FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!!!

i'm the damn robot as well. oh well, he entertains me better than anyone from Kiss what with his commentary on "Space Mutiny" and all.

Yep, Peter just played drums on his "own" song, "Dirty Living". After that, it was decided that he was too screwed up to do the drumming on the rest of the album, so studio drummer Anton Fig was brought in (he previously did the drum tracks on Ace's 1978 solo album). Peter was still technically in the band at that point though, as he appeared in the 2 promo videos for the album and drummed during the Dynasty tour. By the time Unmasked came out though, he was pretty much out. Fig did all the drumming on that album, and Peter's last official job with the band was appearing in the filming of the "Shandi" promo video. Ace had a similar situation with the Creatures of the Night album. Vinnie Vincent did the lead guitar work on that album, even though Ace was on the cover, and Ace's last job with the band was appearing in the "I Love it Loud" promo video (notice that Paul "plays" the guitar solo in that video, not Ace).

Does this KISS game have some weird mixup with a "Which MST3K Crew member are you" game? I'd probably end up being Joel or maybe Gypsy.

I got Tom Servo also. Damn, and I was hoping for the Gene Simmons that can fly and shoot lasers out of his eyes and breath fire.
