DVD Recorder question (work related, kinda urgent)
We recently purchased a Panasonic DMR-T3040 for making DVD dupes of the videos and events we produce here at the office.
However, the Panny forces you to have a menu at the beginning of the disc, whether you want it or not. It's a pretty cheesy looking menu too. The manual kinda sucks but I can't figure out how to turn this feature off.
When I create DVDs using DVD Studio Pro, I often do so without a main menu, especially for a dub. Are there any sub-$1000 recorders that DON'T add a menu when you are duping?

You don't want a menu at all or is it that you want the DVD to start playing without having to see the menu?
My Pioneer DVR-420H starts playing the first video when the disc is inserted and has a menu that you can jump to in order to chose which video you want to play.
I haven't tried it with only one video to see what it does but I imagine the menu with one selection would still be there.

That's the way my Pioneer works then, both in standalone and computer players. I don't even know how to make it go to a menu first, I don't think it can do that.
