Speaker Help

I have an Onkyo TX801, Klipsch SS-3 Floor speakers, Klipsch SC-3 Center Channel, Klipsch SW12 Sub and Klipsch RS-25 Surround Speakers. Does it matter that all my speakers are Synergy Series except for the surrounds which are Reference? Will it still sound ok? I will use it mainly for movies, but probalby listen to music as well. I just bought the Reference Surrounds, so I can still return them. I got them for the same price as I could get the Synergy surrounds. Any help on this matter will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Ummm, why don't you plug it all in, and tell us if it sounds okay?

I agree...just hook everything up and see what happens. If you like the sound, then it all is good. If you don't, start narrowing down what the issue might be.

I will say this...I had some front mains and CC that were same brand, but different series (and made about 20 years apart), that the sound was good, but did not quite seem as seemless as I would like. Recently I got matching fronts (front mains and cc), and I really love it. At times it really does seem like one large speaker.

Perhaps you should ask your buddies at MSNBC for help. I'll bet they know all about speakers.
