I had always liked the music used in CBS's coverage of the Tour de France from the mid 80's. I knew that John Tesh did the 1988 Tour's music, but my brother had that CD and I didn't really care for it. For some reason, I had it in my head that Vangelis did the 1987 Tour's music. Well, after a long Google search last night, I found that Vangelis had nothing to do with the Tour's music and that John Tesh had been composing the music since 1981 or so. So I listened to some sound clips of John Tesh's "Tour de France: The Early Years" and - BAM - there was the music I had remembered so fondly, in particular his "Road Made For Animals."

I feel so dirty.

Well, I finally got my copy of this disc in the mail yesterday. Don't worry - I got it off of half.com, so the Evil One didn't get any of my money.

The guy is a genius..he is still making money on this song (via NBATV)
